Green Tea Supplements–discover the Incredible Health Benefits

It seems like every time you turn your head, there is a new health benefit that’s been discovered from green tea and green tea supplements.
It origins date back more than 4000 years when it was used in Chinese medicine and has shown to be a very popular supplement ingredient.
More and more proven research is emerging about how it can prevent many different types of cancer, by stopping cell duplication among others.
Lower cholesterol and boosting the immune system are more incredible benefits to be had from a green tea supplement.
The downside from the drinking tea perspective is the caffeine content and which type of green tea to choose. Even though the caffeine content is around half of normal tea in general, it can be the same in other instances, depending which type you buy and how you prepare it.
For example you are meant to re-use the leaves 3 times, but discard the first infusion as this has a lot of the caffeine contained in it, which can be very time consuming as the recommended beneficial amount is around 3 – 4 cups a day. Green tea supplements are a simple and effective solution.
Quality green tea supplements however are decaffeinated, so you have all the benefits with none of the worry and side effects. They can contain the equivalent of up to 5 cups of tea, which is quite a lot to drink, especially if you’re not used to the bitter taste.
Another point to make here is that even if you use decaffeinated green tea, because of the chemicals used to remove the caffeine, you won’t gain all of the health benefits as some chemicals are left in from the process.
Another benefit of a green tea supplement over the drinking tea is that if you take a supplement combined with other vitamins, nutrients and herbs you will get a synergistic effect. This in essence means that when combined with the right ingredients, green tea extract for example, will work even better than just green tea supplements or the tea itself.
So there you have it, and I hope you feel a little more informed about green tea supplements and the potential downsides of drinking the tea.
Make sure you look for a high quality, combined supplement, which only uses the best and natural ingredients.
