I love Bjorn. He's practical. While I disagree with global warming being a bad thing, at least he's honest that the bulk of the "solutions" are a waste of valuable money that could be spent on far better things to improve the human condition.

Also, a warmer earth is probably a good thing compared to a cooler earth. Think about it, a heck of a lot more people live in warmer climates than in colder ones.

agreed. Alot of environmentalist policy being pushed is an equivalent to spending $1 million to buy a new computer because it has 1% speed improvement to your old computer. They tell us, but we must do it or else we'll die. I have no problem with spending say a few hundred dollars to get 1% speed improvement, but I can't agree to the absurd amount thats being advocated. Theres better bang for your buck that could improve human conditions around the world

Too many folks simply hear the words "global warming" and assume the worst. They don't put things in perspective, actually asking "How will this affect us? Is it worth whining about?" I don't really think so. It may have some affect on the poorest countries, but they can avoid the worst by industrializing and seeking wealth like the First World nations. The First World and developing nations on the way to wealth will be fine. They tell us we have to make all these stupid sacrifices.

Just once, I'd like to see a candidate put the effects of global warming in perspective and say "The point is what will happen to us, if it's worth being worried about, NOT whether or not warming has a human cause." But too many candidates either get caught up in warming hysteria or deny that there's a human cause. It's really a mixture these days of humanity AND nature.

And if the candidate doesn't believe AGW is worth worrying about, I'd like to see him ADMIT it on the campaign trail and have the balls to say, "Stop worrying about AGW. It's not that big a deal! We'll live." I'd say it.

Why is there such an obsession with helping the world? All these leftists want is to steal your wealth, redistribute it to the poor, and get more power through votes.
