Quite a simple question I thought, worthy of a simple answer so I thought. Well yes it should be but in todays market but the sheer choice of tea is much bigger and for the inexperienced buyer perhaps the best place to start would be a specialist tea seller or a good deli where you can get the right advice about green tea itself.

It’s hardly surprising that the knowledge we posses about the benefit to our health from drinking tea has been around since the ancient Chinese first discovered tea leaves and started cultivating it commercially. They too recognized this plants unique properties that helped alleviate and treat a multitude of conditions. That situation has not changed and many of us today have re-aquainted ourselves with green tea extract benefits.

Let’s just touch upon just one of these benefits here and hopefully after this you can do some of your own research simply and just as easily as I did. Well, there’s been a lot said and written about green tea and weight loss for one. The whole weight-loss arena is quite controversial and full of claims and counter claims, too many to probably cover here.

Some claims attached to it though are that it has an important antioxidant ingredient which acts upon our metabolic rate. This essentially means how quickly our bodies burn calories our body gets from the food we eat. Reports suggest that by drinking green tea our metabolic rate increases substantially, thereby burning calories at a much faster rate, which in turn will shed those unwanted pounds that bit quicker.

Even so, the often quoted advice of eating a balanced diet backed up by some daily exercise remains, like taking a walk. As a side note I also found an excellent, naturally derived nutritional supplement that contains this all important green tea extract. Some of us can’t always brew a fresh cup of tea as it’s not always practical, because of the way we work or live. This way I could still manage to derive those health benefits safely, knowing I was taking a step in the right direction. What’s stopping you from doing the same?

It seems like every time you turn your head nowadays, someone is extolling the benefits of green tea! So how true is this and what about the benefits of a green tea extract?

Well the good news is it’s all true. The benefits of green tea and green tea extract have been proven to be an extremely valuable tool in the prevention of many diseases, including cancer.

Here are the five main reasons to use this amazing extract:

Powerful Immune System Booster

It has been used in Chinese medicine for over four thousand years, and is a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants help prevent the damage done by free radicals, which in turns helps against the aging process.

A green tea extract is a rich source of EGCG (an antioxidant), that is over 100 times more powerful than vitamin C and 20 times more potent than vitamin E. This will help you fight off the more common ailments like cold and flu much more easily.

The EGCG can protect against a wide range of infections including respiratory and digestive infections, and is anti-bacterial.

Prevention of Cancer

Green tea prevents the growth of cancer cells.

The EGCG in green tea prevents cancer cells from growing by binding to a specific enzyme. This is one of the health benefits of green tea that is especially important in cancers of the prostate, breast, and lung.

Assists Weight Loss

It is also used for dieting purposes, as it can act as a fat burner by naturally boosting the metabolism. This is an excellent way to help you lose weight naturally.

Lowers Cholesterol Levels

It has been proven to lower cholesterol levels significantly. Research shows that green tea extract lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol and maintains HDL (good) cholesterol in both animals and people. A recent study has shown that people with a high cholesterol level who regularly took green tea had significantly lower levels of cholesterol.

Slows the Aging Process

Recent studies have shown that the benefits of green tea’s powerful combination of biological compounds, called polyphenols, are very effective at destroying free radicals which can help reverse the aging process.

Another benefit of taking a green tea extract is that they don’t contain caffeine, so you don’t have to worry about any caffeine side effects.

Many experts and scientists now agree that to gain the maximum benefit, it is better to take a blend of vitamins, minerals and herbs as many of these work synergistically together. That basically means that the individual ingredients in a blend will work more effectively when combined together. For example, green tea works together with ginger and olive leaf to help lower cholesterol.

So there you have it, some useful info about green tea extract for which I hope will prove beneficial to you. If you would like to learn more about the products which I personally take, visit my website today.

Tea itself has been around a lot longer than some of us think, it was the early Chinese civilizations that discovered the plant and began cultivating it. They are said to have used it’s restorative and healing powers in many ways, including treating headaches.

Moving on to more recent times, many studies about the benefits of green tea extract have been picked up and published my the mainstream press. While some headlines like ‘drink 3 cups of tea a day to ward of cancer’ are a good way of sparking our curiosity there’ usually a lot more to it than meets the eye. Drinking a quality green tea which has these extracts is obviously one way of making sure your body gets these so called health benefits and one other is by taking green tea capsules too.

So, lets just mention one or two of the most interesting benefits that caught my attention. A lot has been written about the role green tea has played in weight loss or weight reduction. It’s a complex area where the latest fads and findings are often put forward as the next big thing to try but disappointingly often lead us into a vicious circle of trial and error. So I was intrigued to read about the use of green tea capsules as part of a dietary regime which seemed to give discernible results.

It seems that green tea possesses a good many powerful antioxidants which help our own metabolic rate increase by a certain percentage above what our normal rate would be had we not drank the tea. What this means is that our body burns calories faster, so eventually resulting in a loss in body fat. Let’s also not forget that eating a healthy diet and taking the right amount of exercise also counts.

The benefits of green tea extract with relation to the disease cancer has also caused many of us to sit up and listen. It’s being looked upon more in the way of a protective and preventative benefit that we get, rather than anything else. Again it’s these potent compounds and substances that have such strong antioxidant properties that seem to be the clue to why it works.

There’s a lot more ongoing research into what is one of nature’s plants and the list of other additional benefits is quite lengthy. So pass the green tea and put the kettle on to get those benefits yourself.

So, I was intrigued to hear about using green tea as one method. But how does that work then?

The beverage that I have been used to drinking for a long time now is one that I have never before associated with a way in which to lose weight. But, having a desire to find things out for myself I uncovered some interesting tit-bits of information. This article will look at a selection of them.

The spotlight on tea is specifically on green tea extract pills themselves, as you could also derive similar benefits from a brewed cup of green tea. So one has to beg the question of what’s inside these pills that claims to help those of us on a diet.

It seems that there are some compounds called Catechins within green tea which for one are great antioxidants, and are also able to act on our metabolic system. This is essentially how quickly we burn up those calories doing any of a multitude of things we do as part of our daily lives. The plus point with these Catechins is that our bodies burn calories at a slightly faster rate, something which some independent studies have backed up.

One other important fact is that by taking green tea extract pills you do not get any of the side effects that are often associated with other diet products.

Other supporting evidence of additional green tea health benefits are that it could lower levels of bad cholesterol, prevent dental cavities and even help diabetes sufferers by stabilizing blood sugar levels.

Food for thought and if you also take a daily nutritional supplement of any kind, you can also find producers who have included green tea extract already in their product. This may be the easiest way to get both the dieting benefit and maintaining your nutrient intake.

Far from being just a refreshing and tasteful beverage the benefits of green tea appear to be numerous. Whilst the majority of us prefer to drink the stuff there are also many good, nutritional supplements that have the green tea extract within the tablet or capsule. Let’s briefly examine to whom this may be of help.

Top of a very long list are those who are on a weight loss program of some kind or looking to control their weight. It seems that there are some very potent antioxidants within green tea that wok extremely well at stimulating our own bodies metabolism into burning up calories at a much faster rate than we would normally. One study in particular had taken all the other variables into consideration like making sure the participants ate the same diet and so on. The results showed that those who had drunk the green tea consistently over a period of almost three months showed a reduction in their body fat.

In addition to this, others claim it reduces food cravings and increases your energy levels.

More benefits of green tea have been assigned to sufferers of diabetes which is a big, growing problem amongst the developed nations and some say, is linked to the point mentioned above, that of obesity. Here is where these green tea antioxidants play their part again as evidence has shown that they have a stabilizing effect on blood sugar levels.

Loosely touching upon the very big subject of cancer, it has shown to have a big protective and preventative influence on the disease, but much of this research is still ongoing. Even acne sufferers have seen improvements when green tea extract is used as an externally applied form.

Let’s not ignore the fact that it’s a natural plant so lessening the chances of any potential side effects. Plus for those of us looking to get the edge where ever we can on staying healthy, the benefits of green tea should not remain ignored.

Green tea has been consumed in Japan and China for centuries, and it is only recently that it has become a popular drink in the West – where traditionally black tea has been preferred. (Black tea is more strongly flavored and has more caffeine, and retains its flavor for longer). It is also available now by way of green tea extract.

Many users of green tea prefer it not simply because it is a pleasant drink, but because they believe it has major health benefits as well. Is there any truth in this? If so, what are these health benefits?

Health claims for green tea cover many areas – it is supposed to be beneficial for treatment of multiple sclerosis and arthritis, to help the functioning of the brain, to neutralize free radicals in human cells (helping to preserve them), and to lower the body’s levels of cholesterol, so reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease or heart disease. It is this latter claim which has received the most publicity and it has prompted many scientific studies to be done.

These studies mainly focus on large populations of green tea drinkers (numbered in the tens of thousands) in Japan, who drank five or more cups of green tea a day. The results of the studies, published in peer-reviewed publications like Journal of Clinical Nutrition and Journal of the American Medical Association appeared to show that green tea did prolong life, mainly due to its effect in reducing the risk of death from heart disease or cancer. It also cut the risk of dementia.

Another study by Yale University looked closely at the “average 1.2 liters of green tea consumed daily by many people in Asia” and concluded that its antioxidant properties were likely to be the main reason for the well-known low incidence of heart disease in Asia (despite very high consumption of tobacco in the same population). In addition, the consumption of green tea was found to improve the function of the liver, kidneys and pancreas, and to prevent allergies, tumors and viral infections. The study concluded “The evidence is strong that green tea consumption is a useful dietary habit to lower the risk for, as well as treat, a number of chronic diseases.”

Green tea has also been found to stimulate the body’s metabolism, which may be helpful for those looking to lose weight.

The publicity given to such findings has meant that green tea has passed into public consciousness as a drink worth taking up, especially as an alternative to coffee.

The problem with these conclusions has been that the benefits of green tea appear to be available only to those who are willing to drink five or more cups of green tea a day, or who actually like the taste.

Now however, it is possible to buy green tea extract online, so that the benefits of green tea are available to you by simply taking one capsule a day.

Everyone knows that when it comes to your health, you can never be too careful. There are so many things in the world that can make you sick, and there are so many things that you should try to avoid so that you don’t become sicker. However, there are also many things in this world that do wonders for your health, it is simply a matter of getting your hands on them. Take green tea, for an example.

Green tea is fabulous for your health – it can boost your immune system, it can help you digest food and raise your metabolism, and there are numerous health benefits that stem from the ingredients of green tea. However, not all people can tolerate green tea. For instance, it has caffeine, which does not agree with some people’s bodies. It also might be something that some people want to avoid, while at the same time, they might want to get the benefits of the green tea itself. Luckily, you can find decaf green tea extract, which you can use to get the same health benefits.

Where To Find It

You can find decaf green tea extract at many places. Your best bet is going to be to go to a health foods chain or another store that sells health foods or organic foods. This is because these are the places where you will be able to find the decaf green tea extract the easiest.

What Can You Do With It

Because the decaf green tea extract is simply the good stuff that is in the green tea, without the green tea, there are many things that you can do with it. You can put it in drinks, or you can use it as a supplement. It doesn’t have a very strong taste, so you can add it to the foods and drinks that you already love.

This is a way to use the decaf green tea extract to get the health benefits of the green tea, without adding the tea or the caffeine to your life. You might not be able to tolerate the tea, and you might not like the caffeine in your body, but you can still use decaf green tea extract and get the exact same health benefits. It works well in many recipes, and it is something that you can use for a long period of time. There are also no side effects.

Green tea extract comes in two forms; liquid and in capsules. The extract is a super concentrated combination of the polyphenols and catechins that are attributed as the healing components in green tea.

The liquid form of green tea extract is much more highly concentrated in these properties than the capsule form. The capsules contain from 40%-50% polyphenols, while the liquid form contains over 80% polyphenols. But even so, the capsules have been the most popular. The reason for the capsules popularity is they have found that it is difficult to create a good tasting liquid green tea extract.

The capsules can be put into hot water or made into a delicious iced tea. But as the green tea fad is spreading, more companies are claiming that they have developed the better tasting liquid green tea extract. So not only are you getting a great tasting green tea, but you are also getting a very potent one as well.

The Benefits

Green tea extract provides many health benefits. Some of these benefits have been researched and proven, and some are still in the stages of research but are highly recommended. It really only takes common sense to realize how good green tea extract is for the human body.

Some of the health benefits include: prevention for dental decay and gum disease, and helps eliminate bad breath. It is also proven to help with weight loss, helps with the digestive system and reduces bloating, proven to help prevent heart disease, protects the prostate from cancer, one of the strongest anti-oxidants on the market, normalizes healthy bacteria in the intestines and recommended by the Cancer Society as a “High Priority for Cancer Prevention.”

The benefits of this extract to your body’s vital organs go on and on. The green tea extract capsules can also be taken orally with lots of water. This is probably the ideal way for people to take the extract who do not like the taste of green tea or who want to get a quick dose of green tea extract. The internet is full of companies where you can purchase green tea extract in capsule or liquid form. You can also get the extract over the counter at your local drug store and grocery store.

For many centuries, green tea has been regarded as the drink of choice, not just for plain drinking, but also as herbal medicine, treatment for illnesses and for weight loss. Below are the different green tea extract benefit and the reasons why the beverage has enjoyed such reputation for over a long period time.

Several studies were done over the last few years to find out the component in green tea that makes it a powerful health drink. Researchers have discovered that the beneficial effects of green tea are attributed to the polyphenols, particularly the catechins, which make up 30 percent of the dry weight of green tea leaves.

Recent studies have shown that catechins are instrumental in one significant green tea extract benefit – weight loss promotion. Catechins in green tea extract affect metabolism in a number of ways: suppressing appetite, inhibiting intestinal lipases, decreasing fat absorption, increasing fat excretion, increasing uncoupling proteins, accelerating thermogenesis, and decreasing lipogenic enzymes. Due to its potential therapeutic advantages and its role in the promotion of weight loss, green tea extract has now become the subject of global studies.

Numerous studies suggest that one green tea extract benefit is its ability to increase metabolism and help burn fat more effectively. A study made a confirmation that when green tea and caffeine are combined, there is significant improvement in the efforts of a moderately obese individual who is trying to lose weight and maintain it. Several researchers believe that catechins are the main causes of the fat-burning effect of the herb.

According to one researcher, there are only a couple of ways to attain weight loss – reduce energy intake or increase energy expenditure. Apparently, the compounds found in green tea are capable of giving a boost to the body’s normal metabolism rate, thereby providing a green tea extract benefit, particularly the weight loss advantage.

Other studies also say that an important body process involving losing weight is enhanced with the help of green tea. Because of the caffeine in green tea and green tea itself, the process of thermogenesis, which is also referred to as increased caloric expenditure, is said to increase by 28 percent to 77 percent, depending on dose. Caffeine alone did not yield significant results. One study has shown that the thermogenic effect caused by green tea extract may be a result of an interaction between its high concentrations of catechin-polyphenols together with caffeine.

A study on bladder cancer cell lines also outlined one more green tea extract benefit, which involves the anti-cancer properties of green tea. The study revealed that green tea extract shows promise in beating cancer. For the first time, the study was able to determine that green tea indeed targets cancer cells and leaves the healthy, normal cells alone. It has been shown in the study that the green tea extract benefit of destroying cancer cells inhibited the growth of an independent blood supply, which cancers develop so they can grow and spread. In the study, it was observed that green tea extract breaks up a process that’s important in permitting bladder cancer to invade and spread to different parts of the body.

You may have heard about the benefits of drinking green tea from multitude of websites and books dedicated to spreading the advantages of drinking green tea drinks, applying green tea lotion, using green tea soaps, and other green tea products. However, not much has been said about green tea extract.

What is a green tea extract? Green tea extract is simply the juice gathered from green tea leaves. Green tea extract contains healing properties from the tea leaves and green tea extraction simply means taking out these juice – as well as its healing properties – and subject these into a chemical form which is used in green tea pills, green tea dietary and health supplements, cosmetic and beauty or skin care products and many others.

Green tea extract is the primary ingredient in a fat burning pill. Green tea extracts helps with the body’s heat generation, or what we call thermogenesis, which is an important factor in the burning of body fats. Green tea extract promotes thermogenesis without affecting the heart rate. Green tea extract in fat burning pills and other weight loss supplements can help a person achieve a more fit physique without side effects such as jitters and LBM.

Another essential content in a green tea extract is bioflavanoids. Bioflavanoids help fight against the free radicals in our body that can cause diseases. Green tea extract also has EGCG which shields that body from any respiratory and digestive infections, and gets rid of carcinogens in the body which causes cancer.

Aside from weight loss benefits that products with green tea extract have, it also lowers hormonal activities which, in turn, decreases the production of acne. Green tea extract lowers cholesterol, helps lower high blood pressure and also stimulates the immune system that can help prevent periodontal diseases.

A recent study and research showed another important benefit of the green tea extract which is its ability to lower the chances of organ rejection in organ transplant patients. In the research rats that were induced to drinking developed damages in their livers. Some of these rats were consequently given green tea extracts for days. Results showed that these rats with green tea extract were able to adapt well to the new transplanted livers in their body.

Whatever your stand on animal testing and its viability on humans is, research and results of studies still give the same result: that green tea extract have promising benefits which could very well be the preventive solution to most of today’s health problems.
